Melilot, or sweet clover, is a herbaceous plant known for its coumarin-rich hay-like sweetness. As a fragrance note, it smells warm, sweet, grassy, almond-like, and softly tobacco-like. It works beautifully in hay, tobacco, fougère, powdery, and naturalistic compositions.
