Black caraway absolute is the concentrated solvent extract of nigella seed — intensely warm, peppery, slightly bitter, with deeper resinous and oily facets than the seed itself. In perfumery, it adds exotic spice with strong fixative effect to oriental, woody, and naturalistic compositions.
